Garage Sales on Saturday, April 29

Magnolia Point is holding their semi-annual community yard sale on Saturday, April 29.  The front and back gates will be opened at 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Look for balloons marking the residences that are participating.  Also, check out social media forums, like Nextdoor or Facebook, for more specific details of what residents are offering.

April Meeting Speaker

Bob H. Lee was our guest speaker at the Women’s Club April 12 meeting.   Mr. Lee, a retired Florida Game Warden and now author, has over 30 years of backcountry patrol experience in Florida.  He spoke about his many interesting encounters while a game warden, including one of the biggest environmental busts in Florida history.

Our Spouses Help Too!

The Women’s Club has been packing weekend food for qualifying students at Charles E. Bennett Elementary in Green Cove Springs since 2012, with a short break during the COVID pandemic.   Not only do the Club’s members volunteer each week during the school year, some of their spouses also take turns helping pack meals.   Several years

Back to Work!

Hope everyone had a wonderful “Spring Break” last week.  Our members were back to work this morning packing weekend food for students at Charles E. Bennett Elementary School.   Our Maggie’s Meals program provides weekend food for approximately 95 students.   Thanks to Suzanne Foster and Lorna Broughton for heading up this program, which began in 2012.

Members Having Fun
