Yard & Plant Sale Success

On Saturday, April 25, the Magnolia Point community held its bi-annual yard sale. The Women’s Club participated and also included a plant sale, to raise funds to support its mission statement. Members donated gently used, unwanted items ranging from household wares, to books, to clothing, to tools, to furniture and everything in between.

Chaired by Donna Habing, she gathered the donations, pop-up tents, tables and chairs, plus the many volunteers needed to hold an event. Donna also solicited teens from various high schools needing community service volunteer hours to work on Friday evening helping the ladies set up. Two of the students came back on Saturday and worked tirelessly all day.

Shout-outs go to the many members who donated and volunteered their time to help. Thanks to Roz Arnold and Cheryl Michaels who let the Women’s Club set up in the Exit Realty parking lot. And many thanks to Barbara Coker and her group of master gardners who donated many, many plants to sell. Amazing that no plants were left over.

The sale was a very successful fundraiser for the Women’s Club, raising over $2,000 that will be used to help those in need in Clay County. Enjoy the great photos from the day.
