A Wearin’ of the Green with a Touch of Red!

Gosh and Begorrah!

Today, the Red Hat Hotties were seen at Roger That in downtown Green Cove Springs partaking in its menu of corned beef and cabbage, a traditional St. Patrick’s Day meal.  Did you know that while corned beef and cabbage is often associated with Irish culture and St. Patrick’s Day, its origins are not in Ireland, but rather in the United States, where it became popular among Irish-American communities as a hearty, affordable meal.  The Red Hats were Irish Hotties for the day.  All wore a touch green but Cheryle Newman gets the nod for the best expression of the day, with Suzanne Foster as second.  (Okay, I was the judge.) Besides commemorating the day with a wearin’ of the green, each Hottie topped her outfit off with a red hat for our photo as a reminder of the fun and friendship of an outing with fellow Red Hats.
