Last summer, Evie Ezzell, Marty Essex and Kim Belcher led a group of residents through a primer on how to play bridge. I was one of the group and have worked to learn, but as the comments go “it’s all about the bidding” and “learning how to communicate with your partner”. I’m still working on both angles. Many from our summer group are actively playing social bridge at the Clubhouse on a regular basis. If you are looking for a mental challenge, I recommend giving it a try and signing up the next time lessons are offered. Many of our MPWC members already play along with a mixed group of residents and other friends. Bridge may not for everyone, but it may be just the game for you!
