Red Hat Hotties – Heart Walk

By Marlene Jacobs

On Monday afternoon (February 23), the Red Hat Hotties joined in a walk to raise $322.00 in donations for the American Heart Association. The Hotties, made up of Women’s Club members, invited other members to attend. Cheryl Michaels hosted a great walk, even though the weather was cool but not uncomfortable. Cheryl had water and goodie baskets on Holes 1, 2 and 3 of the “Red” golf course in Magnolia Point. It was exciting to find different gifts and snacks at the cart path on each hole.

A big thanks goes out to Joann Vann and Rosalind Arnold, who cleared the cart paths for the walkers. Joann also had beautiful bracelets with heart and red dress charms. Shirley Orvosh was the golf cart relief driver who delivered walkers to the Pub when their beautiful legs got tired. Shirley’s daughter-in-law Aiza and granddaughter Althea joined the walkers.

Happy Hour afterwards in the Pub was joyful as all the participants felt invigorated and Blessed!
