Shopping is always a fun activity. Our Activities Committee hosted a trip to Mount Dora, a city in central Florida known for its antique shops and annual festivals. Twelve ladies carpooled to this quaint city often referred to as the “New England of the South”. Mount Dora offers a unique variety of cultural activities, specialty shops, dining establishments, major festivals, and recreational opportunities.
The ladies took advantage of the beautiful weather and shopped. All managed to take home treasures. As you all know, shopping is exhausting, so a lunch at the lovely Las Palmas Cuban restaurant was their resting place. Many even enjoyed an afternoon margarita (why not).
