The Red Hot Hatties attended the musical showing of “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline” on Saturday, June 29, at the Spotlight Center. The Hatties invited all their fellow Women’s Club members to attend, even if they weren’t a Red Hot Hattie. It was a fun outing for lunch and listening to spectacular music that featured Patsy’s country music journey as she rose to stardom from a small town in Virginia to Carnegie Hall.
If you have never been to the Spotlight Center, it is a relatively new theater venue located next to the Holiday Inn & Suites in Fleming Island. In February of this year, Women’s Club members and their guests attended the musical “Breaking Up is Hard to Do”, featuring songs by Neil Sedaka, and it was such a good experience that the Hatties went back for the Patsy Cline musical.
