The Red Hat Hottie group met Tuesday at the home of Linda Werring for an afternoon of wine tasting, food and fellowship. Linda’s wine tasting event opened our eyes to the limited extent of our wine identification tasting skills. Everyone tasted two whites and two reds, but only some guessed correctly. Who knew there was something called Butter Chardonnay! On a different note, many suggested names for our new mascot. Jackie Maneval won the vote with her suggestion of “Red Hottie”. Red, for short, will accompany us on all of our future gatherings. The group managed to coerce Linda into playing us a song on the piano, an unexpected treat. Shirley Orvosh will host next month.
