MPWC held its annual member holiday luncheon at the clubhouse on December 10th with about 60 members attending. What a fun time renewing friendships and meeting newer members.
It was so good to see Kathie Cardon, one of our founding members, among those attending. She and many others who we sometimes do not see all year around came to share the experience. Our holiday event is held as a way to give back to our members who help throughout the year. Also, in support of our mission, members brought 495 pounds of food collected for the Food Pantry in Green Cove Springs. The group engaged in some word games and a cotton ball relay (yes, you had to see it to believe it).
A very special thank you to the Activities Committee who arranged the ‘Jingle and Mingle’ with its focus on friends, food and fun. I’m going with the members’ responses to the event as ‘Jiggles and Giggles’!
