On Saturday, December 9, Donna Habing, Vice President of the Women’s Club, attended a Christmas party at Orange Park Elementary School for Tad’s Toys, a local Christmas charity. The charity was created by Kathy Lawrence, project manager of the Multi Agency Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET), which serves Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties. Tad’s Toys sponsors a Christmas Wish Party and provides Christmas gifts for homeless children, children in foster care, and local underprivileged children in
Clay County.
Women’s Club members Margaret Acheson, Cissy Burnette, Melanie Carlson, Barbara Coker, Mary Kendall, Adele Murphy, Barbara Phelps, Linda Thill, Linda Werring and Pam Young, in addition to Donna, baked 28 dozen cookies – 336 cookies – that were used for the party!
